For this demo, I’m going to use two different Thingiverse files, which I’ll link to on this tutorial’s resource page at /15… that’s /15. Many of you will find something you like on Thingiverse, or a similar website, with the intention to alter it before 3D printing. You likely found this tutorial searching for steps to convert your STL files to a solid body. I do have another tutorial where I covered similar steps, however, not only will this tutorial be updated to reflect the most recent UI changes, but I’ll also be sharing a few extra tricks. I’ll also be showing you several different tricks to help clean up your files after the conversion. By the end of this tutorial, you’ll know how to use Fusion 360 to turn an STL or OBJ mesh file into a solid body. ![]()
